  dear friends,.

  much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.

  however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

  (((((Emo))))) What a crappy way to end the week!

  It's a cold and blustery day here, dusty snow swirling about in the wind. We had a flash freeze last night, and it's cold, -6C without the wind chill! Going to get even colder by Sunday. So, since it's going to be so cold, hubby and I have decided we are going to stay in all day Sunday, rent some movies, order a pizza and hunker down infront of the woodstove.

  Hope everyone else is keeping warm and dry.

  I've been pondering this question for a while now Crumpet.

  I think lying to mislead for selfish gain or to take advantage of the generous nature of others is wrong.

  I wholeheartedly agree with you TJ. What I don't understand, and I'm not sure I ever will understand, is the why? Is it for the thrill? Is it because they have to prove they are better than everybody else and this is the only way they know how? Or is it just because deep down they are evil? Why? Why? Why?

  Apostafest Christmas at A&W's- Guess who's coming to dinner?

  i am so excited about christmas, i've only celebrated 2 since 1978.. i will be having a mini - apostafest with some jwders on the saturday after christmas along with family (even some of my ex-husband's family).

  bumble bee and memario will be coming from canada and they are also bringing mincan!

  Thanks for posting those AB.

  Here's a pic of the "JK Sandwich". Story behind that - JK got hit on earlier by an "older" woman . I didn't hear what she said to him, but I swear he was blushing. She really loved his "garland" and thought his sweater was soft. I could tell she was really enjoying the "stroking" she gave him . When she started to come back for more, he got a "deer in the headlights" look on his face and asked FF and I to save him from her. So we surrounded him. FF and I were the bread, JK was the "meat"

  Poor woman, JK broke a heart that night .

  Has anyone seen the "Lost Compass"

  i found it to be a very good show, i liked it's ablity to show the disgusting attempt religion makes to control peoples lives, its real good so go see it the mormons don't like cause to a limited degree they are a control group butnothing like the witness's you will see what i mean about it's reference to religion, it made me think of the governing body of jehovah's witness's in a big way..

  Because of the uproar by Christians, the producers left out all the anti-christian sentiments, as a result, the story made very little sense.

  Yep, I have to agree with that. The movie certainly wasn't what I was expecting.
